Patriots d. Colts 25-6 in Week 1.

PATRIOTS SUFFOCATE COLTS IN DEFENSIVE SLUGFEST, 25-6
Let me tell you something โ this game right here is a masterclass in defensive football, and the Patriots absolutely dominated from start to finish. The Colts came into Week 1 with 251 passing yards, thinking they had something, but it didn't matter ONE BIT because they couldn't move the football when it counted. Two turnovers will kill you in this league, and Indianapolis paid the ultimate price. The Patriots' defense was relentless โ five sacks, four forced fumbles recovered โ that's the kind of suffocating, physical football that sets the tone for an entire season in a competitive league like this.
Now here's what really gets me about this matchup: the Colts had the yards, but they had NOTHING when the scoreboard mattered. One-for-fifteen on third down? One-for-four on fourth down? And let me be clear โ even though they went one-for-one in the red zone, that singular drive doesn't erase the complete and utter ineptitude everywhere else on that field. Meanwhile, the Patriots weren't flashy, they weren't putting up eye-popping numbers, but they were EFFICIENT and DISCIPLINED. Zero turnovers. That's championship-caliber football right there.
This is No Excuses league football at its finest โ the Patriots came to play, made real adjustments on the defensive side of the ball, and completely dismantled the Colts' offensive scheme. Indianapolis can make all the excuses they want about yardage, but in this league, we don't deal in yards โ we deal in POINTS and EXECUTION. The Patriots hung 25 on them with methodical, ground-and-pound football. That's the standard being set in Week 1, and every other team in this league better take note.
