CFM OS: Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CFM OS ("the Service") provided by the CFM OS operator ("we", "us", "our"). By inviting the bot to your Discord server, paying for a license, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. License grant

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in the Discord server for which you have paid an active subscription. Each paid license covers a single Discord server. Bringing the bot into additional servers without a license is not permitted.

2. Subscription, billing, and renewals

  • The Service is offered as a recurring subscription. Pricing is shown at checkout. By completing checkout, you authorize us to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period.
  • You can cancel at any time by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing for future billing periods with at least 14 days notice via the email on file.

3. Refund policy

  • New subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of their first payment if the Service is unable to operate in their server (for example, a hard incompatibility we cannot resolve).
  • Refunds for subsequent billing periods are at our discretion. Issues caused by Discord platform changes, EA Sports policy changes, third-party service outages, or your own server configuration are not eligible for refund.
  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing. We respond within 5 business days.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any law or any rights of any third party
  • Attempt to extract, reverse engineer, or scrape the Service beyond what is exposed in the public commands
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or other leagues using it
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach this section. We will attempt to notify you and give you a chance to remedy the issue when feasible.

5. Data ownership

  • You own your league's data. This includes player profiles, match results, balances, trades, picks, and any other league-specific records.
  • We process and store this data on your behalf as a service provider. We do not sell, license, or share your data with third parties except as required to operate the Service.
  • Upon cancellation, you may request an export of your league's data. We provide it within a reasonable time frame in a machine-readable format. We retain operational backups for up to 30 days after cancellation, after which all your data is purged.

6. AI features

  • The Service includes AI-generated content (game recaps, debate panels, daily digests, the league concierge). All such content is generated based on the data we provide.
  • AI-generated content is provided "as is" and may contain errors or inaccuracies. Treat it as supplementary commentary, not as authoritative ruling.
  • Per-league usage caps apply. If your league exceeds its cap, AI features return a friendly fallback until the cap resets at the start of the next month.

7. Service availability

We aim for 99% monthly uptime, exclusive of:

  • Discord platform outages
  • EA Sports / Madden franchise outages
  • Third-party service outages
  • Scheduled maintenance windows announced at least 24 hours in advance

We do not guarantee uptime in any month and do not offer SLA credits.

8. Intellectual property

The Service (excluding your league's data) is and remains our intellectual property. The Discord platform, Madden NFL, and related trademarks are the property of their respective owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord, EA Sports, the NFL, or any sports league.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access for breach of these Terms or for other operational reasons with reasonable notice. Sections 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, both parties agree to binding arbitration administered in the operator's home jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the bot or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

CFM OS is operated by an independent commissioner. It is not affiliated with EA Sports, the NFL, the NCAA, or any professional or collegiate sports league.
